J.C. Penney Memorial Scenic Highway
We are partnering with the Town to host an Old Fashioned Farm Day on Saturday September 15th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The event will help celebrate the reopening of the Town Kohler Park after damage from Hurricane IRMA, The day will feature exhibits of old tractors, farm equipment, fly-wheel engines and antique/classic cars. Country crafts will be demonstrated and some items will be for sale. Vendors of all types will line the residential streets; musical presentations will be featured in the band-shell every half-hour and there will be a wide choice of activities for children. Transportation will be provided by bus and large golf cart to visit points of interest around the town. Food Trucks will be on hand so visitors can purchase snacks or a complete meal. Highlights of the day will include strolling musicians, Stilt Man, an old-fashioned blacksmith carnival games and the Mile of Pennies.
Admission is FREE but visitors are invited to bring loose change to add to the Mile of Pennies in honor of 90+ year old Penney Farms. It will be a fun day!
