Experience the Real Florida! Located along the magnificent southwestern Florida coast, the Lemon Bay/Myakka Trail is “Old Florida” at its best. Myakka State Forest has many trails for hiking, cycling or horseback riding.
Olde Englewood Village Historic District via the Old Englewood Loop. Buchan’s Landing, a structure on Dearborn Street that housed a store, post office and residence, was a magnet drawing early settlers and businesses. Stop by the butterfly farm and trails at the expansive Lemon Bay Park. The Manasota Key beaches are great for relaxing, swimming, driving, boating, hiking, and cycling more slowly so that you can immerse yourself in the history and culture.
Great trails – like the Cape Haze Pioneer Trail, great water activities, barrier Islands like: Gasparilla Island, Boca Grande, Manasota Key, the historic Boca Grande Lighthouse.

The byway is located in the southwest part of the state on the Gulf Coast. South of Sarasota, north of Fort Myers and just west of Port Charlotte.
From the North: I-75 South to exit #200 (SR 681 S). Travel on SR 681, then turn south onto Tamiami Trail/SR 41 toward Venice. Travel on Tamiami Trail/ US 41 then turn right onto SR 776 (West end of Lemon Bay/Myakka Trail).
From the South: I-75 North to exit #170 (Kings Hwy S). Travel on Kings Hwy to Tamiami Trail/ US 41. Travel north on Tamiami Trail/ US 41 toward Murdock. Turn west onto SR 776 (East end of Lemon Bay/Myakka Trail).
