FDOT is funding the feasibility study for the Vilano to Mickler’s Trail for $150K!
The A1A Vilano to Mickler’s Trail advocacy group photo below shows some of the folks who have been working on this effort for two years. The photo was taken the day Friends of A1A was designated the lead agency on the project.
The Friends of A1A were recommended for $18K by the St. Johns County TDC for the next phase of our Mobi Tour focused on economic development and tourism. This now heads to the St. Johns County BOCC for approval!
The group released a new A1A Byway Video, “A Roadmap to History” in June 2019. This video is the first in a series, “Capturing the A1A Byway Story Series.” The video can be seen on the A1A website.
Scenic A1A received approval from the Flagler County TDC and BOCC for Spoonbills & Sprockets this year for $1,250 after a very challenging process.

Friends of A1A is currently hosting the A1A Pop Up! Biz Socials every two weeks in conjunction with the Flagler Beach Historical Museum, Flagler Beach All-Stars, HT Productions, Flagler Broadcasting and CurleyTail Design, to help Flagler Beach businesses directly impacted by the A1A reconstruction project which will be finished in November 2019.
