In 2015, Visit Florida featured a series of articles about our Florida Scenic Highways. A different photographer took photos of each byway as part of this project, giving us a wonderful window on each byway. Pensacola Scenic Bluffs was photographed by Andrew Wardlow. Children ride bicycles at Bay Bluffs Park along Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway. The city-owned, 32-acre Bay Bluffs Park features an extensive boardwalk that leads visitors through thick forest to the base of the giant cliffs and the waters of Escambia Bay. Tall bluffs of red clay line the beaches, which offer a magnificent spot to watch the sun rise over the bay.

Located along Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway, Chimney Park contains an approximately 50-foot high brick chimney, remnants of a pre-Civil war era sawmill. The property is configured as a mini park functioning as a roadside rest area containing parking spaces and brick walkways.

Located along Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway, Chimney Park contains an approximately 50-foot high brick chimney, remnants of a pre-Civil war era sawmill. The property is configured as a “mini” park functioning as a roadside rest area containing parking spaces and brick walkways.

A jeep travels north along the Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway at sunrise. The highway is approximately eleven miles in length and it travels from the Bayou Texar Bridge to the north end of the U.S. 90 Bridge across the Escambia River.
