  • Florida Scenic Highways & Byways | A1A Ocean Islands Trail
The A1A Ocean Islands Trail is a Florida Scenic Highway that runs along the Atlantic Coast of Duval County. It is the only scenic highway with a ferry serving as part of the roadway. The A1A Ocean Islands Trail is a unique way to visit state parks and learn about the history of Florida.
  • Florida Scenic Highways & Byways | A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway
The A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway stretches far into American and Florida History. The byway features the historic city of Saint Augustine and connects state parks, national monuments, stunning beaches and estuaries.
  • Florida Scenic Highways & Byways | J.C. Penney Memorial Scenic Highway
The J.C. Penney Memorial Scenic Highway is one of the shortest in the Florida Scenic Highways Program, but packs a lot of history within its limits. Much of the corridor passes through a beautiful oak and magnolia canopy dating back to the 1900s and includes the town of Penney Farms and the Penney Retirement Community.
  • Florida Scenic Highways & Byways | William Bartram Scenic Highway
Named after pioneering arborist William Bartram, this highway winds through St. John’s county, following the St. John’s river, past Beluthahatchee and Alpine Groves parks and the historic Switzerland neighborhood.
  • Florida Scenic Highways & Byways: Northern Region (Florida Crossroads Segment)
The Florida Scenic Highways Program was established to showcase the outstanding and intrinsic resources that can be found along Florida’s highway system. On this continuing Florida Crossroads series, we highlight four roadways in North Florida that enhance the traveling experience for the public through history, recreation, nature and scenic beauty.
