This year’s theme is The Florida Scenic Highways Program and the National Perspective. Our partner from the National Scenic Byway Association, Sharon Strouse, will be joining us to kick off the day. This discussion will provide perspective on the national program, demonstrating how the FSHP fits within it, and how it can provide support to the Florida byways.
Leaders from the Big Bend Scenic Byway, Del Suggs and Dixie Partington, will share some of the local gems and unique qualities of the byway and the north Florida area. The meeting will also host a panel of Scenic Highway Program Directors from around the country. Panel participants include Tim Wilcox (Minnesota Scenic Byways Coordinator), Michael McClanahan (Tennessee Scenic Roadway Coordinator), and Tom Barrett (Ohio Scenic Byways Coordinator).
The meeting will include a roundtable discussion with members of the Florida Scenic Highway Program community from around the state. View or download the 2025 Statewide Meeting Agenda.
The Florida Scenic Highways Program encourages the byway community to attend and looks forward to hosting everyone in Apalachicola!
