A Great Second Time for this Byway-Sponsored Event!
The Fish-in-the-Pan Bass Tournament presented by the Sumter Scenic Heritage Byway in partnership with Coastal Angler Magazine and the historic Pana Vista Lodge attracted fishing enthusiasts from around the region. Now in its second year, participants arrived at the fish camp early and stayed late.
Boats were on the lake at sunrise, and the afternoon was dedicated to fish weigh-ins, silent raffles, prize drawings, telling stories about the “one that got away” and the announcement of tournament awards. It appeared that everyone caught fish and many were eager to know the date for the 2022 event.
At the completion of the tournament, participants enjoyed lunch prepared by Scenic Sumter Heritage Byway volunteers. Proceeds from the event will help support future byway projects.
